National Anthem

"BLESSED MOTHERLAND"

"NUHU NINA KIBÈRKAT"

Dara ye hami amhasi

Nuni sutung sedimra hinati,

Ratara na tasi

Na taura wia rang sirsira hi ati.

Na haima nguwa ni ahudak,

Hami moli nus Makuwa ruin.

Lirai hami amkurak

Hi tanu ina yambak luira rudin.

             ***

Nuhu Nina kibèrkat

Ina nyoka hami yan,

Hi lasahi, nami ratna,

Liraidahen Kaupèlan.

            ***

Amsulatu hami tikai,

Kidai ungilaim nusahi tana.

Wiraha sehai

Uni amakinti, nami jiwa ampana.

Tiraik watera hi langi

Na yabidi nidan nwal nèmulin,

I ngawa nwal sambi

Hi tanu ina yambak luira rudin.

This land that we honour

Hath dense forests and beautiful trees,

Mountains and seas

And a people with brave heart.

From a strong folk we are heirs,

Descendants of Makuwa line.

An honourable king we obey

In the fields where our ancestors lie.

              ***

Blessed Motherland,

Shelter for our kin,

In the East, our jewel,

Kingdom of Kaupelan.

               ***

However we are prepared

If the darkness take our land.

The sacrifice demanded

To defend it, our lives we will grant.

Untill the Sun return to the sky

When the dawn finally cometh

To bring again the peace

In the fields where our ancestors lie.
