National Anthem

"BLESSED MOTHERLAND"

"NUHU NINA KIBÈRKAT"

Hi raye hami amhasi

Mana ni along sedim hinati,

Ratara na tasi

Na taura wia rang sirsira ati.

Makuwa hami mahudak,

Moli haima nguwa ni nus ruin.

Rai wia amkurak

Hi tanu sambi yambak luira rudin.

             ***

Hi kuru ye, ranawek

Na rwayua wese

Walanim, hami dasaim

Nuhu Nina kibèrkat

Nèmakinti hami yan,

Hi lasahi, nami ratna,

Liraidahen Kaupèlan.

            ***

Amhilim hami tikai,

Kidai ungi yu nusahi tana.

Wiraha sihai,

Ngo uni tanam, nami jiwa ampana.

Tiraik watera hi langi

Na yabidi weru nwal nèmulin,

Nèma na nèsangi

Hi tanu sambi yambak luira rudin.

Our beloved homeland
With dense woods and trees,

Mountains and seas

And people with a brave heart.

Heirs of Makuwa,

Descendants of a strong line.

A good king we obey

In the fields where our ancestors lie.

             ***

This ground is sown,

And everything is born.

Our home, our folk

Blessed Motherland,

Shelter for our kin,

In the East, our jewel,

Kingdom of Kaupelan.

               ***

 However we are vigilant

If the darkness take our land.

And a sacrifice is demanded

To defend it, our lives will be granted.

Untill the Sun return to the sky

When the dawn finally comes

To bring again the peace

In the fields where our ancestors lie.
